Marguerite M Young (Margie), age 82, of Forsyth, formerly Miles City received her Blessing by winning her 12 year battle with Alzheimer's disease on January 16,2009.

Margie was born the daughter of Igneous and Eugenia Huyghe in Gistel, Belgium on February 12, 1926.Margie met her future husband Harold in Belgium as WWII was ending, but she had to wait until she was 21 before she was allowed to come to the US. She arrived in August of 1947,and they were married in Baltimore Maryland on August 4th. They settled in Miles City. On July 18, 1948 a son Robert was born, their daughterCaprice was born on May 4th 1950.Margie worked very hard to learn English, and to become a Naturalized Citizen. She could speak 5 languages. Loved to work crossword puzzles and was very good at them. As a child in Belgium, she attended Catholic school, and was taught how to knit, crochet mend and do household chores. After her children were in school, she worked doing the things she was taught inschool; she was a seamstress, cleaned houses and did a lot of babysitting. She was still cleaning houses and babysitting until we realized that Alzheimer's was taking her memory and at age 72 she retired. She loved to work, and would do anything to help anyone who asked. Margie worked and saved her money so she could take her kids to Belgium to visit her family, making a trip home about every 6 years, and then continued the tradition by taking her Grandson to Belgium twice.

She was an AARP volunteer, knitting hats for the newborns she helped serve meals at the school lunch program and helped Harold deliver meals on wheels. For fun she played Whist with hercard club, and going out to eat with her French speaking friends. She and Harold enjoyed traveling around the states visiting family and friends. She enjoyed growing flowers in her yard, and bird watching.

When Harold could no longer take care of himself and Margie, they moved to Forsyth to live near their daughter. After almost 3 years, they had to return to Miles City to Friendship Villa. Harold died in 2000. After a fall at Friendship Villa resulting in a broken hip and wrist Caprice moved Margie to Forsyth to be closer to her. She remained at RHCC Nursing Home until her death on January 16th.

Margie was precededin death by her parents, husband Harold, her sister Martha Cavazalli,(Frank,) and 4 other siblings. She is survived by her son Bob, wife Song of Elmhurst, NY, daughter Caprice Gregory, husband Butch of Forsyth, Grandson Guy R. Gregory,Sioux Falls, SD, a sister Rachel and her husband Antoine Perez of Brussels, Belgium.

We love you Mom, take flight and enjoy, you have earned a rest.
