Interment: Friedens Gemeinde Cemetery, north of Culbertson, MT

Marie Damm, age 93, of Sidney, MT formerly of Culbertson, MT passed away March 3, 2011 at the Sidney Heath Center Extended Care.

Marie Damm was born to Conrad and Anna Marie Damm on November 28, 1917 at their farm twelve miles north of Culbertson. She was raised there and attended the rural school #5. On March 7, 1938, Marie married David Damm in Wolf Point, Montana they lived on their family farm from 1938 until September of 1980. She always raised a big garden and poultry. Whenever she had a free moment she would crochet bed spreads, tablecloths, and doilies and afghans.Marie was baptized on December 16, 1917 and confirmed faith on April 1, 1934 in the former Friedens Gemeinde Lutheran Church.

At the time of her death she was an active member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Culbertson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jack, Alex, John, Martin, Constine, George; sisters, Molly, Katie; daughter, Patricia Reichert of Wolf Point in 1991; and two grandsons.Marie is survived by two sons, Ernest (Myrna) of Boise, ID and Leroy (Rebecca) of San Antonio, TX; sisters, Lydia Liebrecht of Yorkton, Saskatchewan, Anna Luft of Culbertson; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, March 8 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Culbertson. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 9 also at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Culbertson. Interment will follow at the Friedens Gemeinde Cemetery in Culbertson.If friends desire, memorials can be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church P.O.
