Ruth Marie Gallinger, age 83, of Jordan passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2023 at home in Hardin, MT. Known to all by Mimi.
Mimi was born in Jordan, MT on September 26, 1939, the second daughter to Hugh and Doris (Flippin) Weimer. She was called Mimi by her sister Rosie because it was too hard for her to say Marie. Their father passed away when Mimi was about 15 months old. Their mother later married Fred Gall and they had a son Stanley. Mimi attended grade school in Cohagen and High School in Jordan, graduating from Garfield County High School in 1958. She attended secretary school in Billings, MT for a short time before marrying Arthur Clarence Gallinger in Miles City on February 15, 1959. They had four children. Three girls; Karla, Artis, and Dawn and one son Chad.
Mimi loved travelling with her family, playing cards with family and friends, and spending endless hours in her yard outside. She had a beautiful yard no matter where she lived. Mimi was devoted to her grandchildren and granddogs. She had plenty of grandma brags and would share them with anyone she met.
Mimi is survived by her children: Karla (Dale) Clark, Artis (Gary) Stevens, Dawn (JayDee) Dohrmann and Chad Gallinger; her granddaughters: Amanda Clark, Machelle Clark, Nikki (Marcus Owens) Stevens, Emily Dohrmann; her grandsons: Cale Stevens, Blake Gallinger, Reece Gallinger; great granddaughters Rachelle (Zack) Jarvis, Bailey Kurns, and great grandson Walter Stevens; great-great grandson Carson Jarvis. She was proceeded in death by her husband Arthur, parents Hugh and Doris, brother Stanley, sister Rosie (Wayne) Hunter, grandson Alex and great-great grandson Xavier Jarvis Vandaele.

I was saddened to hear of Mimi’s passing. Many years ago Jane and I stayed at her home for 5 days while we attended summer Bible school. I loved visiting with her as she had a great memory for things that happened many years ago. Now her and Jane can continue their 10:00 coffee. May God bless you all.

Nancy Wisness says
Mimi was one of my dearest friends in the early days of my marriage and when having my kids. We spent hundreds of hours sitting at my table drinking coffee and visiting. We had lots of great discussions!! She was my first babysitter for my oldest when I had to go back to teaching, and Michael loved it at her house. When I saw that Artis had called, I was expecting her to say her mom was back in town and time for some coffee time. I was sad to hear that she had died. We are unable to attend the funeral, but please know that we are there in spirit.
Fondly, Nancy and Rick Wisness

Condolences from Glenda and Geralyn “Geri” Gall.
Our mom, Donna Gall, passed away in November of 2021. At that time, I did not have any contact information for anyone in your family. Fred Gall, was our biological paternal grandfather.
Today, when I saw your mother’s obituary, I reflected on the time I spent with Carla and Artis. Although I did not know Dawn and Chad, I remember hanging out with the two of you in grade school.
Geri is now in Minnesota and I am in Genesee, Idaho Please let us know where you and your siblings are located now. We would love to reconnect with you. Both of us are on Facebook as Glenda Bull and Geri Gall Northrop.
My mailing address is PO Box 416, Geneser, ID 83832. I hope to hear from you! My email address is almostsunrise@gmail.com.
