Marjorie Taylor

Visitation: Monday, December 22, 2008 at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City.

Funeral services: Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City.

Interment: Custer County Cemetery

Marjorie May Taylor, age 80 of Miles City, formerly of Jordan, Montana, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at the Holy Rosary Extended Care in Miles City.

Marjorie was born on July 7, 1928 on the family ranch on Flat Creek in Garfield County, the daughter of Leo and Beatrice (FitzGerald) Berry. She was raised and attended country schools in the area and attended Garfield County High School in Jordan. Marjorie and Steve Taylor were married on April 6, 1946. Marjories entire life was centered around the ranch. She loved raising horses and gave several colts away to family and friends as gifts. She also loved her many cats, dogs, milk goats and any special needs animal. A true ranch wife, Marjorie was never one to wear dresses, and was reported to only twice be seen in a dress.

Marjorie and Steve moved into Miles City in 2000 and after Steve passed away in 2002, she remained in Miles City residing at the Holy Rosary Extended Care.

Marjorie is survived by her son, Clay (Karen) Taylor of Jordan, her daughter, Mae (Morris) Ware of Vananda, MT, five grandchildren; J.C., Val, Crystal and Chance Taylor and Vicki Ware, a sister, Mary Lou Curtis of Miles City, MT, very close nieces and nephews; Mike, Lorn, Lester, and Bruce Davis and Robert, Swede and Carol Curtis, Dallas OConnor, Allen Manley, Sharyn, Judy, Connie, and Margie Berry and several other nieces and nephews and a very special adopted niece, Nancy OConnor.

She was preceded in death by her husband, six brothers; Leo Berry Jr., Kenneth Berry, Corland Berry, and Roland, Robert and Walter Curtis, three sisters; Geraldine Berry, ORilla Berry and Ethelyn Curtis, and two nephews Pat & Robert Davis.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 22, 2008 at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Interment will follow in the family lot of the Custer County Cemetery.
