Memorial services for Mark Haratyk will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 6, 2004, at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Gillette, Wyoming with celebrant Kenna Lou Rose officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, November 4, 2004 at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home in Gillette.
Mark Haratyk, age 25, of Gillette, Wyoming, died November 1, 2004, in Wright, Wyoming of work related injuries.
Mark Allan Haratyk was born April 29, 1979, the son of John and Edith (Haggerty) Haratyk in Riverton, Wyoming. Mark was raised and educated in Boise, Idaho and graduating from the Shoshoni High School. Mark attended high school in Shoshoni, Wyoming for four years.
Mark had a magnetic personality; he was a very caring and affectionate young man, who was loved by everyone he met, even if it was only once. He had great love and affection for little kids, especially his little IZ, who was the light of his life. Mark was interested in all aspects of life. He loved movies, Volkswagen cars, legos, soccer, martial arts, cooking and camping. Mark had a great love for music. As a young boy, he sang before he talked. In Boise, Idaho, he was a member of the Kiwanis Boys Choir. While in high school, Mark started playing the bass guitar. He was a member of the National Honor Society Fellowship of Christian Athletics, and Target. He was active in basketball, track and football. Marks 4x100 relay team set Wyoming state records.
Mark worked for the U.S. Bank in Riverton, Wyoming; Campaigned for Bill Sniffin; Fremont County, where he was a Computer Technician; RetaLix in Boise, Idaho; Kmart in Riverton, Wyoming; Central Wyoming College Housing Department & Information; Technologies Department; Samulsons Painting and Viking Explosives until present.
Mark is survived by his mother and stepfather, Edith and Butch Pryor of Mt. Vernon, Texas; his father, John Haratyk of Boise, Idaho; his father and mother-in-law, Mike and Terri Weber of Wright, Wyoming; his grandfather, Ivan Haggerty of Riverton, Wyoming; his wife, Nichole Haratyk; his daughter, Ayslyn Haratyk, both of Gillette, Wyoming; his brother, Kyle and wife, Tania Haratyk of Lander, Wyoming; his sister, Tanya and husband George Peters of Okinawa, Japan; his brother-in-law, Patrick Weber of Gillette, Wyoming; his step sister, and Elaine Pryor of Mt. Vernon, Texas.He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Mike Haratyk and grandmothers: Mary Haratyk and Gerry Haggerty.
