Mark O’Donnell

Funeral Service: 10:00 A.M, Friday, December 9,2005 at Stevenson Wilson Funeral Home in Gillette

Interment: will follow at 2:30 in the Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, SD, full military honors will be provided by the Sturgis Honor Guard

Funeral services for Mark Edward ODonnell, age 74, of Gillette will be held 10:00 A.M, Friday, December 9,2005 at Stevenson Wilson Funeral Home in Gillette with Pastor Clint Pickerel of the Gillette Christian Center officiating. Burial will follow at 2:30 in the Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, SD, with Military Chaplain, Father Bill Zandri officiating. Full military honors will be provided by the Sturgis Honor Guard.

Mark died on December 5, 2005 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital from complications of pneumonia.

He was born on April 13, 1931 in Lemmon, SD the son of Francis and Emma (Davis) ODonnell, where he was raised and educated. Following his schooling, Mark enlisted in the Air Force where he served as an airplane mechanic. On July 11, 1956, Mark married Bernice Sandland in Selfridge, South Dakota together they had 5 children. Over the course of his life, Mark worked in a lumber mill, as a truck driver and as a custodian in Gillette area schools. After retirement Mark enjoyed gardening, playing cards and taking care of animals. He loved his naps.

Mark is survived by his 4 children: Mike ODonnell of Sparks, NV, Karen Perez of Dodge City, KS, Patricia ODonnell and Lisa Lindgren both of Gillette; thirteen grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, two brothers: Paul ODonnell of Pine Haven and John ODonnell of Moristown, SD.He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Bernice, his daughter Lori, two brothers: Francis and Vincent ODonnell and two sisters, Agnes Gores and Mary McNerney.
