Marlowe Duane Martin, age 73, a longtime resident of Miles City, MT passed away peacefully on December 4, 2013 at the V.A. Nursing Home in Miles City.
Marlowe D. Martin was born on August 27, 1940 the son of LeRoy C. and Thelma R. (Takenaka) Martin in Glasgow, MT. After the Navy he moved back to Miles City where he worked as an electrician for a short period of time before beginning his career as a fireman. Marlowe joined the fire hall in 1964 and remained there until 1990 when he retired as a captain. In 1976 Marlowe started his own company called Martin Fencing. He ran his company until he was no longer able to and eventually sold the fencing business in 2011.
Marlowe loved to bowl, play pool and golf. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed visiting with his friends. Many would say Marlowe had the gift of gab.

My sincere condolences to the family of Marlowe Duane Martin – May you find comfort in your loving memories, great pictures and in recalling the many talents of Mr. Martin. It was not God’s purpose that mankind suffer and die (Romans 5:12) and God has promised that a time will come when no one will say “I am sick” (Isaiah 33:24) The Paradise that was originally promised for the earth in the Garden of Eden will be fulfilled causing God’s “will to be done as in Heaven also upon Earth” (Matthew 6:9, 10). I hope you are comforted by Bible promises of a hopeful future (John 17:3).

We miss him terribly and have had a tough time!
I was one of the luck ones that was able to spend the last six beautiful months with my father.
I learned so much and grew as a person because of my time with him.
I was blessed to have him as my father!
