Burial: will be at a later date at the North Dakota State Veterans Cemetery in Mandan, North Dakota

Martha A. Anderson, age 89, of Forsyth, formerly of the Fargo/Moorhead area passed away on July 22, 2010 at the Rosebud Health Care Center in Forsyth, MT.

Martha Whitcomb was born May 13, 1921 in Moorhead, MN to Weston and Mary Whitcomb. She grew up and attended schools in that area where she graduated in 1939.She worked for the telephone company for a short period of time before joining the Army in 1942. After being honorably discharged from the Army she returned to working for the phone company.She and Alfred M. Anderson were united in marriage in 1949. They made their home in the Fargo/Moorhead area where they were blessed with three children, William, David and Beverly. Martha moved to Forsyth, MT to be near her son and daughter-in-law.She enjoyed crafts and spending time with friends and family. She was also involved with the Ladies of the Catholic Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Alfred; brothers, Harold and Robert and sisters Harriet, Mary and Margaret.

She is survived by her children Dr. William (Margo) Anderson of Forsyth, MT, Dr. David (Rebecca) Anderson of PA and Beverly Schultz of Eugene, OR; sister Marcella; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
