Mary Ann Strom, age 91, of Miles City, MT passed away on July 1, 2005 at the Holy Rosary Health Care Center in Miles City, MT.

Mary was born on October 10, 1914 to Anton and Agnes (Hanel) Hafla, Sr. in Cohagen, MT. She grew up on the family ranch with her nine brothers and sisters where she attended a rural school. When Mary was 17 years old, she went to Miles City to work at the Holy Rosary Hospital as a nurses-aide where she was there for many years before marring Curtis Strom in 1937. Mary returned to the hospital where she worked for several more years, making Miles City her home, where she had lived since. Mary was a member of the Sacred Heart Church and the Milwaukee Womans Club.

Mary is survived by five siblings; John (Jean) Hafla, Agnes (Bob) Cremer, Rose Schantz, Joe (Marie) Hafla and Anton Hafla all of Miles City, MT.

She was preceded in death by her parents Anton and Agnes, brothers Richard Hafla and Vincent Hafla, two sisters; Margie Davis and Ann Dyba, and numerous nieces and nephews.
