Funeral services: Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at 2:00 pm at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Miles City.
Interment: will follow in the family lot of the Custer County Cemetery in Miles City.
Mary Dalke, age 97, of Miles City passed away on March 29, 2008 at the Holy Rosary Extended Care in Miles City with her family at her side.
Mary was born on January 15, 1911 in Pettibone, ND to Christian and Christina (Morlock) Walz. She attended rural schools in Pettibone, ND while working on the family farm. After her marriage to Ted Dalke on June 25, 1939 they moved to Glendive, MT while farming in Marsh, MT. They farmed there until moving to Kinsey where they remained for over 17 years. They moved to Miles City where she and Ted operated Teds Upholstery for years and made Miles City her home until the time of her death. Mary was an active member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Miles City.
Mary is survived by two sons; Loren (Joni) Dalke of Jamestown, ND and Arvin (Dee) Dalke of Jamestown, ND, two daughters; LuAnn (Chuck) Pluhar of Cohagen, MT and Ardella (Dave) Berzel of Billings, MT, two brothers; Rudolph (Katherine) Walz of Jamestown and Rupert G. (Joan) Walz of Sebewaing, MI, one sister; Caroline Herman of Jamestown, ND, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 2003, three brothers; Christ, Jacob and Fred, and one sister Emma Boley.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 31, 2008 with the family to receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00 pm at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at 2:00 pm at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Miles City. Interment will follow in the family lot of the Custer County Cemetery in Miles City.
