In Memory Of

Mary E. Rummel

Mary Eva Stubblefield Rummel was born September 18, 1927 in Albany Oregon to Charlotte (Paul)and Maurice Stubblefield. She diedat home May 13, 2010 of cancer.

Mary Eva's childhood was spent in Toston. Shegraduated from Broadwater County High in 1944 and shortly after entered the nurses training program at St. Johns Hospital.On June 18, 1949 she married Andrew Jackson Rummel in Helena. They had seven children -Andrew Timothy (Tim), William Thomas,(Tom). Mary Constance (Connie), Patrick Joseph (Pat), Bridget Anne, Gerald Edward (Jerry) and Margaret Elizabeth (Meg). Mary Eva worked in nursing related fields for many years retiring from St. Peters Hospital in 1992.

She was preceded in death by her baby sister Polly, her husband Andyand her four sons Tim, Tom, Pat and Jerry.

She is survived by her daughters Connie (Ron) Bergum and children William, Elizabeth and Sophie of Helena;Bridget (Brian) Castle and children Elise, Lauren and Andrew of Bothell Washington; Meg and her daughter Elaine; Tim's childrenMolly Murphy, Tom Ashcraft, Josh Goroski; and Pat's children Sara and Lisa Rummel; sisters Kay (Don) Smith of East Helena, Joan Dashnea of Missoula, and Gerry (Gary) Pace of Boulder,. She is also survived by three great grand children, Emilee Rummel, Anna Murphy and Emma Rummel.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Weiner and the wonderful staff at the Cancer Treatment Center. She received excellent care from Hospice of St. Peters. The staff and volunteers were a special part of her life these past two years and we would like to thank especially Janice, Millissa, Mary Margaret, Cheryl, Sherry, Ric, the Angies, Linda, Donna, Carol, Michele, and Anna.

Memorials can be made to Hospice of St. Peters and the Montana Historical Society.

A vigil will be held Monday, May 17th at 7 pm at the Anderson Stevenson Wilke FuneralHome. The funeral Mass is scheduled for 12 noon on Tuesday, May 18th at the Cathedral of St. Helena. Burial is scheduled on Wednesday May 19th at Resurrection Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting: www.stevensonandsons.com .
