Our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and beloved friend, Mary Ellen Fink joined our father in heaven, April 14, 2009 in Forsyth, MT.

Mary was born November 15, 1920 in Glasgow, MT to LeRoy and Anna Axtell. Marys early years were spent on the ranch at Eight Point near what is now Fort Peck Reservoir. Upon the creation of the Fort Peck Reservoir, Mary and her family left the area in a chuck-wagon bound for Billings, MT. Mary attended school in Billings and graduated from Senior High School before attaining her Bachelors Degree in Education from Eastern Montana College. Following WWII, Mary met and married the love of her life, Harold Fink. Mary and Harold made their home in Park City where Mary taught several generations of Park City Panthers. Mary was active in the American Legion Auxiliary and St. Anthonys Catholic Church Altar Society. Mary was an avid card player and traveled to Billings frequently to play cards with friends. Marys best friend, Stattie, was her constant companion. Together, Mary and Stattie knew the price of coffee at every restaurant in and around the Billings area. Mary loved to cook and always had something freshly baked when friends and family came to call.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, LeRoy and Anna Axtell, her husband, Harold Fink, brothers Bill and LeRoy Axtell and sister, Eleanor Kober. Mary leaves three loving children, Wayne and Lynnett Fink of La Conner, WA. Joann and Steve Ler of Savage MT. Larry and Vicky Fink of Hysham, MT. Nine grandchildren; Brandi Fink and husband Derek Hamilton of Albuquerque, NM. Britany Fink of La Conner, WA. Brigett (Sam) Levine of Los Angeles, CA. Brad (Kelly) Ler of Sidney, MT. Christa (Paul) Lowrey of Park City, MT. Jolyn Ler of Billings, MT. Braden Ler of Savage, MT. Chad (Erin) Fink of Hysham, MT. Courtney (Jon) Batey of Forsyth, MT and five great-grandchildren.

Mary will be missed by her loving family and many friends. Memorials can be made to the Park City Senior Citizens, St. Anthonys Catholic Church or the Rosebud Health Care Center-Eden Project.
