Mary A. Haggerty, age 69 of Miles City, formerly of Lindsay, passed away on June 28, 2012 at the Homestead Elderly Care Home in Miles City.
Mary was born on October 14, 1942 in Fort Sill, OK, the daughter of Jess & Laurel “Toni” Fulbright. She attended grade school in Montrose, CO and Uravan, CO. She graduated high school in Denver, Colorado. On March 13, 1976 she married Ed Haggerty in Billings, MT. She worked as a freight truck driver in Glendive, MT from 1979 to 1993. Her and Ed both owned and operated the Service Station in Lindsay, MT until they sold it after Ed passed away in 2002. Mary loved to watch the baseball College World Series. She was always loved helping her granddaughters cut out paper dolls, working on her sewing machine, and taught them all how to crochet at very young ages. She had a green thumb. Mary kept several plants all over the house as well as tomato plants year around.
She is survived by her sons Phil (Cindy) Haggerty of Killeen, TX and Marty Haggerty of Lindsay, MT; a daughter Kim (Jay) Zinda of Miles City, MT; her sister Sharon (Dave) Sherrill of Grand Junction, CO; a brother Jess Fulbright of Nucla, CO; her grandchildren Terri Haggerty, Sandy Haggerty, Lexi Haggerty , Nicole Zinda, Tara Zinda and Taylor Zinda; a great grandson Trenton; a great granddaughter Aubrey; two nephews Rob Sherrill and Dan(Carrie) Sherrill; two step brothers and two step sisters. She was preceded in death by her husband Ed Haggerty, her mother Laurel Fulbright and father Jess Fulbright.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at 11:00 p.m. at the Glendive United Methodist Church in Glendive, MT. Burial will be held at a later date.
