Mary Lou Engle, age 68, of Gillette, Wyoming, died December 7, 2003 at the Pioneer Manor Nursing Home in Gillette, Wyoming of natural causes.
She was born November 4, 1935, in Warsaw, Indiana to Carl and Fern (Pomeroy) Long. She graduated from Warsaw High School in 1952 and was employed at the United Telephone Company until 1953. She was married to Wilbur Dean Engle in 1954 in Warsaw and later moved to Wyoming in 1957. Mary and Wilbur had three children, Rickey Allen, Melinda Ann, and Kurt Shane Engle. She worked at the Virginian Hotel as a cook from 1978 until health reasons made her retire in 1992. She was married to Wayne Edwards from 1991 to 1997. She moved to Gillette, Wyoming where she made her home. She was a resident of the Pioneer Manor Nursing Home, where she made many friends.
Mary enjoyed reading, cooking, and going to the mountains. She also enjoyed playing cards, bowling, playing Bingo, painting, and crocheting. She loved to spend time with family and friends, all whom will miss her dearly.
She is survived by her three children; seven grandchildren; first husband, Wilbur Dean Engle; second husband, Wayne Edwards; and two brothers: Russell and Bill Long.
Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents.
