MaryLou Hampton, age 61, of Miles City, MT passed away on September 27, 2005 surrounded by her family in Billings, MT, after a brief battle with colon cancer.
MaryLou was born in Miles City, Mt on February 19, 1944 to Walter and Thelma (Morgan) Sprandel. They lived in Miles City where she attended schools and graduated from Custer County High School in 1962. After attending MCC, MaryLou married Michael Lowry in Miles City. They moved to Boulder, Colorado and then Bozeman, MT where she lived until 1994 when she moved to Missoula. After her father passed away in 1997, MaryLou moved back to Miles City.
In December of 2003, MaryLou and Bill Hampton were married in Miles City and she has resided in Miles City since.MaryLou had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed trying new things. She loved all things outdoors, especially fishing. Foremost, she enjoyed her family and many special friends.
MaryLou was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Thelma Sprandel and her brother, Donnie Sprandel. She is survived by her husband, Bill Hampton; children, Brad Lowry and his wife Laura and Nicole Sundt and her husband Clint; step-children, Paul Hampton and his wife Eiko and their daughter Ellie, and Will Hampton; sisters, Norma Johnsgard, Judy Rivera, and Bonnie Kolka; brothers Ray Sprandel and Kim Sprandel; five grandchildren, Lucas and Morgan Lowry, and Riann, Caden, and Cole Sundt, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2005 at 11:00 at the Grace Bible Church in Miles City, MT. Condolences can be sent to the family by visiting www.stevensonandsons.com. Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home of Miles City has been entrusted with the arrangements.
