Mary Rose Melbourne

Visitation and Prayer Service: 8 p.m. Friday, October 15 at the Assembly of God Church in Poplar

Funeral Service: 11 a.m. Saturday, October 16, also at the Assembly of God Church

Interment: will follow at the Poplar City Cemetery

The Lord took home another Angel, Mary Rose Melbourne, age 54, of Poplar, MT, passed away October 9, 2010 in the Billings Clinic due to complications from diabetes.

She was born on February 28, 1956 to Jimmy and Agnes Melbourne in Poplar. She attended schools in Poplar and Riverside in Oklahoma. She graduated from Frazer High School in 1974. She later graduated from Fort Peck Community College with her Associates Degree in Business in 1992. She worked for numerous programs for the Fort Peck Tribes. She married her high school sweetheart, Clarence Spotted Wolf and to this union she had three children, George, Alana, and Sophie Spotted Wolf. She also helped raise her sister (Marlenes) children, Richard and Joanne Steele, Gerarda, Valerie and Elisha Talks Different.She was a well known baker of homemade bread, cinnamon rolls and banana cream pies. She enjoyed quilting and sewing when she was able to. She loved visiting with friends, family, and grandchildren.She is preceded in death by her parents Jimmy and Agnes Melbourne; brothers, Fred Steele Sr., Dorrance Steele Sr., Lonnie Steele, and Jim Melbourne Jr.; sisters Carlene, Marlene and Trivan Steele; granddaughter, Natalie Rose Alexander; daughter-in-law, Shelly Kirn; and sister-in-law, Blanche Owns Pipe.

She is survived by her children, George, Alana, and Sophie Spotted Wolf all of Poplar; grandchildren, Jordan, Kendra, Bayzel, Courtney, Ryan, and Nadden Spotted Wolf all of Poplar; sisters, Theresa (Kenneth) Smoker of Poplar, and Thelma Blount of Frazer; numerous special nieces and nephews; and extended family Scotts, Melbournes descents of Mable, Tressie, Nina, Maude, and Katie Foote.

A prayer service will be held 8 p.m. Friday, October 15, at the Assembly of God Church in Poplar. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, October 16, also at the Assembly of God Church in Poplar. Interment will follow at the Poplar City Cemetery in Poplar.Condolences may be sent to the family atwww.stevensonandsons.com. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point has been entrusted with the arrangements.
