Mary Bernice Wenstrom, age 92 of Missoula formerly of Helena passed away May 5, 2010 at the Missoula Health and Rehab.
She was born August 15, 1917 in Westfield, NJ to Edison A. and Helen I. (Thomson) Buckley.She attended elementary schools in New Jersey, Fanwood, Little Silver and Ocean Port. Bernice graduated from high school in White Plains, NY and also attended White Plain Business College. She married George E. Wenstrom January 20, 1945 at USNAS Opaloca, FL.Bernice worked for several agencies within the federal government system, retiring with over 30 years of service. Bernices interests included hiking, camping, and traveling, reading, sewing, knitting. She also loved music and ball room dancing. Bernice also was an avid participant in the Women of the Moose in Helena and attended Mass at the
Cathedral of St. Helena. Bernice was preceded in death by her husband in 1992 and her parents. Survivors include her children, George Allen Wenstrom of Belgrade, Barbara (Dan) Lofton of Avon and Carolyn (Don) Lang of Missoula, eight grandchildren, Cherie, Richard, Casey, Terry, Jeff, Kent, Tara, Ryan, and 4 great grandchildren, Kylee, Carson, Kailey, Josh.
Family to receive friends from 4-6 p.m., Friday, May 7, 2010 at Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Resurrection Cemetery.
