Maynard Kenneth Jackson Jr. age 48 of Frazer, MT passed away September 2, 2006 near Oswego, MT. Maynard was born July 8, 1958 to Maynard Jackson Sr. and Ernestine Fourstar Jackson in Poplar, MT. He married Agnes Spotted Wolf at the age of 16 and out of that marriage they had 3 children; Clint Wade, Tara Lee and Melissa Sioux, and after meeting Roberta White, they had 5 children; Blaine Marie (deceased), Sharon Renee, Jared Tyme, Dillon Delray and Sabrina Dawn. Maynard also helped Roberta raise Dexter Earl White. Maynard lived most of his life in Frazer, MT.
He graduated from the Frazer High School and after graduating, he and Agnes moved to Lawrence Kansas where they both attended Haskell Indian College. After moving home he worked with his dad at the Fort Peck Housing doing carpentry work. He was a carpenter by trd on the oil rigs, and was a seismographer. He also went out on many fires as a firefighter. During his high school years he was on the cross country team and on the basketball team. He liked to cook, loved to read and visit with his family and friends.
Maynard is survived by his children; Tara (Dane) Rasmussen of St. Paul, MN., Melissa (Jeremiah) of Poplar, MT, Clint and Dexter of Shelby, MT., Sharon (Aaron) of Frazer, MT, Jared, Dillon and Sabrina, all of Frazer, MT., five grand-children; Nin, Dane, Benais, Delray and one on the way. Brothers; Harlan (Taryn) Jackson, Luke (Tanya) Jackson and Frank Chopper, sisters; Karen Jackson, Winter (Les) Jackson, Althea Deserly, Tiffany Chopper, and Leanne Redstone all of Frazer and Wolf Point, MT. and step mom; Mary Redstone. Maynard has many nieces and nephews and other relatives who are going to miss him very much.
His parents; Maynard and Ernestine, brothers Thomas and Gary, daughter Blaine, and grandparents; Gae, Pete, Andrew, Wilson and Josephine all preceded him in death.
A prayer service will be held Wednesday, September 6, 2006 at the Frazer Community Hall at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 7, 2006 at the Frazer Community Hall at 10 a.m. Interment will take place at St. Josephs Cemetery in Frazer. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements.
