Interment: will follow in the Steve Forks Cemetery with military graveside rites
Mervil Wilbert Jackson, age 83, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2003 at his home in Jordan.
Mervil was born on May 29, 1920 in Roundup, MT, the son of Wilbert L. and Goldie Leota (Hellyer) Jackson. He moved to Jordan where he worked for various ranches. He later moved to Baker, Sioux Falls, and Billings and moved back to Jordan where he lived until his death. He drove truck for several companies, later purchasing his own truck and drove for several years. Following his retirement, he worked as a custodian for the Garfield County High School.
Mervil is survived by four daughters: Sharon Gilbert of Council Bluffs, IA; Sandra Stahl of Zurich, KS; Sue Vaught of Omaha, NE; and Shelly; three brothers: Gerald Jackson of Laurel, MT; Douglas Jackson of Grass Range, MT; and Jack Jackson of Carlton, OR; two sisters: Lola Hanley of Jordan, MT; and Dolly Darlene Clark of Miles City, MT; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one daughter, Sabra; two brothers: Sterling and Milo; and three sisters: Rose Mary, Joyce and Beverly.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 8, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at the VFW Hall in Jordan. Interment will follow in the Steve Forks Cemetery with military graveside rites. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.stevensonandsons.com.
