Milton Henry Sethre, age 84, of Wolf Point, passed away October 9, 2003 at Northeast Montana Health Services, Trinity Campus in Wolf Point.
He was born January 12, 1919 in Fergus Falls, MN to Henry and Mina (Ryan) Sethre. He grew up in the Woods community north of Wolf Point and went to Woods School through the 8th grade. He graduated from Wolf Point High School and attended business college in Fargo, ND. Milton and Eileen Ahrens were married July 21, 1943. Milton was the owner of Farmers Lumber Co. He served on the Trinity Hospital Board and the city council. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church and served on the church council. He was a member of the Airport Golf Club, Wolf Point Elks Club and a former member of the Lions Club. He enjoyed woodworking, golf, and gardening. They spent winters in Lake Havasu City, AZ for 18 years.
Milton is survived by his wife Eileen, a son, Ronald (Frances) of St. Paul, MN, two daughters, Edie (Chuck) Shell of Denver, CO, and Ann Sethre of Denver, CO, a grandson Christopher Shell of Denver, CO.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Elsie Buchanan, two brothers, Donald and Kenneth.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church in Wolf Point with Rev. Greg Holler-Dinsmore officiating. Private inurnment will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to First Lutheran Church for church projects.
