Minnie Louise Krueger, age 88, of Forsyth passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2004 at the Rosebud Health Care Center in Forsyth following a short illness.
Minnie was born in Forsyth, Montana on May 25, 1915, the daughter of Hugh and Rose (Marks) McCain. She attended grade school in Mission Valley and one year of High School in Vanada. Following her schooling, she helped on the family farm. Minnie married Merle Krueger on June 6, 1934 in Forsyth. They made their home on the farm where they raised their five children: Arthur, Hugh, Rosalie, Pearl, and Claude. While raising her family Minnie was very active on the farm. Every Sunday, she would make lunch for her family and the Pastor and his family.
Minnie enjoyed her life in the country. She loved to read, work on the farm, and bake, but most of all she loved raising and spending time with her children. She also taught Sunday school and enjoyed raising her garden. Minnie was an active member of the Wesleyan Missionary.
Minnie is survived by three sons Arthur and his wife Virginia of Pendleton, OR Hugh and his wife Vicki of Jewett, TX, and Claude and his wife Nina of Forsyth, two daughters Rosalie Steinbach and her husband Craig of Forsyth and Pearl Hein and her husband Ed of Forsyth 12 grandchildren Donna Krueger Rupp, Keith Krueger, Vera McPherson, Allen Krueger, John Moos, Dirk Moos, Daren Moos, Todd Moos, Larry Hein, Kimberly Hein, Karla Clapper, Tracy Krueger, 16 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her two sisters: Belle Kirby of Billings, MT and Lynn Pluhar of Cohagen, MT.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Merle, her sister Madge Brooks.
A Prayer service will be held on Wednesday, March 3, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Forsyth. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 4, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Forsyth.
