Montana K. Malone (Monni), age 57 passed away October 29, 2012 in Miles City, MT. Monni was born on April 17, 1955 in Kalispell MT, the daughter of Paul and Doris (Crow) Malone.
Monni attended school in Broadus until she met Guy Gamber. A year after their marriage, they moved to Ely Nevada for a few years where she was a homemaker. In 1980 they moved to Westby, MT. In Westby, she bartended, was a housekeeper, and maintained her family. In 1987, they moved as a family to Williston, ND.
She worked as a security guard for the Airport Inn. She worked as a chef’s assistant. In May of 1989 they moved to Miles City until 2006. She then lived in Belle Fourche SD for two years until she moved back to Miles City where she worked various jobs.
Monni’s hobbies and enjoyments were fingernail painting, jewelry, painting, gardening, sewing, singing, playing the piano and writing. Her children were her greatest love of all.
Monni was preceded in death by her brothers Paul Malone, Stormy Rae Gamber, Tony Malone, her mother Doris Malone, and father Paul Harnitz.
Monni is survived by her son Shannon (Tonya) Gamber of Lebanon, Indiana, her daughter Dori Ann (Dave) Fasthorse Jr. of Wolf Point MT, sisters Georgia (Eloy) Maes of Rapid City SD, Maryland (Don) Nagorski of Tacoma WA, Virginia Malone of Tacoma WA, and Paula (Clinton) Gress of Sundance WY, grandchildren Skye Montana Arborgast, Celine Lois Marie Gamber, Kaleb Ryan Gamber, and Kyle Lee Gamber, two great grandchildren Cayden and Sincere Talent of Indiana, numerous nieces and nephews, stepchildren and step grandchildren and many friends. The family of Monni would like to thank all of her many caregivers throughout her life.
Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home in Miles City, MT. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Thursday November 1, 2012 at Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held Friday November 2, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Custer County Cemetery.
