Monty Maxwell, age 57, of Gillette, Wyoming, died December 22, 2004 at his home in Gillette of heart complications.
Monty Dean Maxwell was born March 8, 1947, the son of Arthur and Dorothy (Hickins) Maxwell in Wessington Springs, South Dakota. Monty attended schools in Wessington Springs, South Dakota. Upon his schooling, he enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1964. Upon his discharge in 1967, he moved to Gillette, Wyoming where he worked on oil rigs as a driller. He then moved to Sidney, Montana where in 1978 he married Donna Senn. The couple lived in Montana until moving to Gillette in 1983 due to the lack of work in Sidney. Monty enjoyed fishing, hunting and riding motorcycles; he also enjoyed being with his children.
Monty is survived by his wife, Donna Maxwell; two daughters: April Glick of Cheyenne, Wyoming; Deserae Maxwell of Gillette, Wyoming; one brother, Gary Maxwell of Shokoppe, Minnesota; three sisters: Marvelyn Salmon of Gillette, Wyoming; Sharon Pearson of Casper, Wyoming; Sandy Hemmah of Sundance, Wyoming; and two grand children: Marcus Allan Glick and Dillon Dean Glick , twenty-three nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.
