In Memory Of

Myron Bahr

Prayer Service: Monday, August 6, 2007 at 6:30 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City.

Funeral Service: Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Miles City.

Interment: Will be held at a later date in North Dakota.

Myron W. Bahr, age 88, of Miles City passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2007 at the Holy Rosary Extended Care in Miles City.

Myron was born on March 30, 1919 in Thompson, North Dakota, the son of Edwin and Myrtle (Schroder) Bahr. He attended rural schools in Grand Forks County thru the 8th grade. Following his schooling, he went to work on his fathers farm where he worked for thirty seven years. Myron married Dorothy Johnson in 1946. He semi retired in 1983 and worked as a fertilizer salesman and insurance salesman. They moved to Montana in 1990 for a couple of years and ended up liking it and stayed for seventeen years. Myron did a lot of woodworking after moving to Miles City and made cedar chests for every grandchild. He worked at RSVP, the church, Gideons, and the Drop In Center. A good day for Myron was working in the woodshop in the morning and playing cards in the afternoon at the drop-in-center.

Myron served as a 4-H leader, tax assessor, township supervisor, and was very active in their home church. He enjoyed working with agates and especially following his grandkids in their activities.

Myron is survived by his wife, Dorothy Bahr of Miles City, MT; two sons: Gary Bahr and his wife Joan of Thompson, ND and David Bahr and his partner Art of Cleveland, OH; two daughters: Judith Mitchell and her husband Bob of Littleton, CO and Mona Bilden and her husband Mark of Miles City, MT; two sisters: Arlene Krueger and her husband Leon of East Grand Forks, ND and Loretta Stein and her husband Jim of Evanston, IL; ten grandchildren: Chris, Heidi, Andrea, Amy, Alissa, Jeremy, Carmen, Matthew, David and Larry; and eight great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Vivian and a grandson Ryan.

A Prayer Service will be held on Monday, August 6, 2007 at 6:30 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Miles City. Following the funeral service, there will be a luncheon at the church. Interment will be held at a later date in North Dakota. Condolences may be made to the family by visitingwww.stevensonandsons.com.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church, Holmes United Methodist Church in Reynolds, ND, Holy Rosary Hospice or to the Gideons.
