Nancy Fightingbear (maho-waė)-waterwomen. Born 12-16-1962-9-12-2020 to Elmore and Mabel Fightingbear in crow agency. Nancy lived her whole life in Birney. She went to school at St. Labre and graduated in 1989. She loved to work through her youth years she worked with the peanut crew and as an adult she worked in various places like for St. Labre and housekeeping at the IHS. In 2003 she lost her spouse emery fisher. later on she worked for homecare services for her brother Clifton Sooktis. She was a very caring person she was a foster parent through doing this she gained many children. Also helping raise her nieces, nephews and grandchildren. She was a to everyone that needed a mother. Her love was big, and she had a unique connection with everyone. She loved to help and watch on at Sundances. She loved to listen to peyote music. Nancy believed in the power of prayer and was a fluent cheyenne speaker. She lived a happy life and was proud to have grandchildren and great grandchildren that she loved to be around. Nancy was known by many for her kind and caring nature.
