Kay Johnson, age 69, of Miles City passed away at the St. Vincents Hospital in Billings, MT on August 18, 2010.
Kay was born on June 26, 1941, in Miles City, MT the daughter of Billie C. and Irene (Scheid) Stewart. She attended grade school in Miles City and graduated from Custer County District High School. She met and married Melvin Dean Johnson on June 26, 1959. Following their marriage they made Miles City their home where she has forever lived.Kay loved to cross-stitch, going to the horse races, playing cards, Bingo, doing puzzles and most of all loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a lifelong member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.
Kay is survived by her daughters; Delite (James) Brown of Douglas, WY, Amy (Jonathan) Stinson of Miles City, MT, and Becky (Richard) Eddy of Tacoma, WA, siblings; Gary (Connie) Stewart of Los Alamedos, Bill (Rosemary) Stewart of Spokane, WA and Sister-In-Law, Sandi Stewart of Miles City, MT, 11 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her dearest special friends Elinor Vick and Al Olson.
Kay was preceded in death by her husband in 2007, her parents, brother Donald Stewart and a grandson Drew Derrick Williamson.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 23, 2010 with the family to receive friends from 4 to 6 pm at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at 11:00am at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Miles City. Interment will follow in the Eastern Montana Veterans Cemetery.
