Naomi Clara Rolf Peterson of Woodbury, MN and recently of Miles City, MT, died at St Vincent Hospital in Billings, Montana on Sunday October 4, 2009.
Naomi was born October 13, 1921, in Gaylord Minnesota to Louis W. Rolf and Christina Hertwig Rolf. There she attended christian day school. She spent one year at Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato, MN and 2 years at the University of Minnesota.Naomi married Arthur Alan Peterson July 3, 1948. Their son Paul was born in 1952.She was employed as a secretary at 3M for 19 years until she retired. She enjoyed traveling both overseas and in the States. She enjoyed family and grandchildren and many friends. She stated when she wrote out her obituary, "Had a wonderful life. All glory to God."
Naomi is survived by beloved son, Paul Rolf Peterson (Joanne) of Miles City, grandchildren Charissa Jo Peterson of Woodbury, MN, Katherine Anne Peterson of Kansas City, MO, and Zachariah Peterson of Miles City, MT, great grandchild Hailey Geurin of Woodbury, MN, brother Rev. Robert Rolf (Dorothy) of Cleveland, OH, brother Louis Rolf (Arlene) of Faribault, MN, her sister in law Elda Rolf widow of her brother Eugene Rolf of Saginaw MI, special cousin Renata Winsor of Wyzata, MN, sisters-in -law Clarene Peterson, Donna Peterson and brother-in-law Jerry Peterson, and many neices and nephews and friends whom she loved.Proceeding her in death were her parents, her beloved husband Art Peterson, her brother Eugene Rolf, her sister in law Ruth Rolf, brother-in-law Gene Peterson, her nephew Jeff Peterson, and her niece Julie Peterson.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, October 8, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Woodbury Lutheran Church in Woodbury, Minnesota. Interment will follow in the Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
