Nicholas Demaray (Red Antelope), age 35, spread his wings and left this Earth on Friday April 14, 2017. He was born January 15, 1982, in Glendale, AZ. He spent most of his childhood in Lame Deer and Colstrip MT, there of which he graduated high school in 2000. Later, he continued his life in Billings, MT.
Nicholas worked various trades and had many great accomplishments, first and foremost, being his children Victoria, Logan, Hazel, Carter, and Holden. He was a smart and hardworking man. He worked most of his life through the Local 30 as a Journeyman Pipefitter, Forman, General Forman and Weld Inspector.
Nicholas had a very caring, gentle, and loving soul. He never turned down helping others and he was always happy to do so. He loved his family and friends greatly and he would do anything for them.
Nicholas enjoyed music, art, and working on vehicles. He loved nature and the outdoors along with just relaxing. He also reminisced about the old times of driving through the hills of the Northern Cheyenne Reservation. He was proud to be a 6th generation direct descendant of Chief Dull Knife.
Nicholas is survived by his wife, Rosemary; sons: Logan, Carter, Holden; daughters: Hazel and Victoria; brothers: Freeland and Michael (Amy); sisters: Eva (Kodie) and Stefanie (Carlos); nieces: Abby, Kylie, Emma, Kiersten, Audrianna, Erica, and Jayda; and nephew, CJ. Also surviving are his parents, Jon and MaryAnn; in laws, Rick and Belinda; and grandparents, Richard and Lora.
Nicholas is preceded in death by his Grandparents, Woodrow and Eva (Seminole) Gass, and Uncle Leroy Gray.
Nicholas will always be loved and greatly missed by his family and friends.
Wake services will be held at 7:00pm on April 18, 2017 at Jon & Mary Ann Demaray’s residence in Colstrip. The funeral service will be held at 11:00am on April 19, 2017 at Full Gospel Mission for all Nations Church. Following the funeral service, a reception will be held at Full Gospel Mission for all Nations Church. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Stevenson & Sons.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Billings Food Bank or Rescue Mission. The Demaray family wishes to thank the Colstrip, Lame Deer Communities, and extended family for all of their support.
