Randy Oswald of Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Newcastle, WY will officiate. Visitation will be held Sunday, November 20, 2005 from 4-8:00 p.m. at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home in Gillette, WY.

Norm Conley, a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, left this earth on November 17, 2005 after an unexpected illness took him from our lives at the very young age of 63.

Norm spent the last several years enjoying life in Wyoming and Michigan where he cherished the beauty of Gods creation in the land and the wildlife. Norm was an avid fisherman and hunter. Those that he has left behind will forever have fond memories of days with Norm in the outdoors. Whether it was on a lake catching trout, the shore of a stream with a fishing rod in his hand, gazing out on a plain looking for that elusive big buck or helping out on somebodys ranch with any type of work to be done, Norm breathed the air outside with a passion. Norm was born in New Lathrop, Michigan on March 13, 1942 to Genevieve and James Conley Jr. He graduated from Chesaning High School in 1960. In 1964 he married Jeannie. Their sons Jeff, Jim, John and Jason blessed their lives. He spent 28 years working for DOW Chemical in Midland, Michigan.

Later in life, Norm found his soul mate, Margie Rumminger. They married in 1998, settling in Gillette, Wyoming for seven years and then moved to their dream-home outside of Osage, Wyoming in the beauty of the Black Hills. There, Norm could watch wild turkeys, deer and elk from his deck and take his grandchildren through the rocks and trees to find caves and build forts.

Norm was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers (Lavern, Phil, Bernard Conley).

He is survived by his wife Margie Conley of Osage, WY; sons Jeff (Kerreen) of Belleville, MI; Jim (Jody) of Beaverton, MI; John (Judy) of Clinton, MI; and Jason of Midland, MI; 7 grandsons: Austin Conley, Eli and Alex Sutherland, Chad, Devin and Kyle Aldridge, and Ben Rumminger; Ray (Marge) Conley of Chesaning, MI; Harold (Jean) Conley of Saginaw MI; Marion (Jim) Birchmeir of Beaverton, MI; Iolene Rathbun of Eagle River, AK; Eleanor (Vince) Birchmeir of Chesaning, MI; Carolyn (Dean) Fulton of Chesaning, MI; Loretta (John) Locke of Brand, MI; and Ruth Conley of Brand, MI. Margies children, Dave (Sherri), Gina (Jef), Sandy (Jeff) and Kevin loved Norm very much and their children knew him from a very early age as Pappa Norm. Norms seven grandsons will be raised knowing Pappa Norm as a warm and kind man who would do any thing to help others. We will miss you Norm.

Memorials and condolences may be sent in Norms name in care of Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home, 210 W. 5th St., Gillette, Wyoming 82716 or via the internet at www.stevensonandsons.com.
