Before my passing, I chose to write my own obituary. This is a privilege and an opportunity that many do not get.
Through my faith in the Catholic Church, I strongly believe that Maheo stopped by my hospital room and told me to prepare for my final journey.
My name is Norma Jean Brady. I was born October 18, 1963 in Crow Agency, MT. My parents are the late Norman Brady and Sylvia Foote Brady. I was raised in Busby and Ashland, MT and attended schools in Busby and at St. Labre, but earned my High School Diploma while in Georgia. My favorite activities in school were volleyball, basketball and softball.
I met the love of my life, David Weathers, in 1979, and with him moved to Georgia. From this union, two children were born, Tess and Johnny Weathers. I had a nice life in Georgia, but missed Montana, and I returned home in 2000.
Survivors include my two children: Tess Weathers of Billings and Johnny Weathers of Anaconda, MT; special grandson Pernell Ridgebear; my companion Selwyn Littlebird of Billings; my two sisters: Charlene (Bucky) Robinson of Ashland, and Charolette “Mom” (Leroy “Dad”) Runsabove of Lame Deer; my two brothers: Robert Yellow Fox, Jr. of Lame Deer and Charleston (June) Yellow Fox of Billings; 10 grandchildren, and special son-in-law James Arrington of Georgia; my aunts: Georgiann (Bruce) Kellum, Kat and Joy Foote, and Emma (Jimmy) King of Lame Deer, Theresa Littlebird of Billings, Geraldine Fisher of Ashland, and Lorraine Tracke of South Dakota; my uncles: Daniel (Judith) Foote, Joe, George, Jimmy, and Richard Fox – all of Ashland, George Littlehead, Jr., and Arnold Brady of Billings, Steve and Vance Littlebird of Lame Deer, MT, as well as Geofredo (Tweety) Littlebird of Hardin; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
I was preceded in death by my parents: Norman Brady, and Sylvia Foote Brady; grandparents: Eddie Foote, George and Margaret Littlehead, Wilson Brady and Annie Brady; aunts: Elsie, Agnes and Elva Russell; uncles: John Russell, Jr. and Eugene Russell, all of Busby, MT.
My special friends include: Beverly (Brian) Limpy and kids, Bonnie Littlesun, Elrena Whitedirt, Ivene Hart, Marcella Sittingman, and all of her brothers and sisters from Busby, MT.
My extended families include Brady, Foote, Fox, Russell, LittleSun, Littlebear, Littlehead, Braided Hair, King, Whitedirt, Littlebird, Blackhorse, Mexican Cheyenne and many more. My family is quite large, please accept my apology if I left anyone out.

Now the family would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses of Billings Clinic, Room 374 for the care and attention given to our youngest sister. The family was able to surround her with love and prayers as she journeyed from us on December 28, 2015, at the age of 52, to be with loved ones that have gone before her.

mom I love you more than words or actions could even describe. you were very special! I can’t even begin to describe how I’m feeling. we have had our ups and downs but I wouldn’t trade any, because it gave us that chance to get to know each of us better. who do I have now? besides Johnny. who can I trust with all my secrets and laugh about them together? I’m very scared mom! I’m confused, I’m lonely, I’m lost. I LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU SO MUCH!!!! you was 1 of a kind! won’t ever be anyone like you…. you held a smile thru all of your pain and fears and often sorrows. regardless of your own situation , you was always helping others! I know me and Johnny are so blessed to even having a amazing mother like you. you were a wonderful teacher even though many times I was stubborn but you hadnt gave up. who will fuss at me now if I hit a bump driving. who will scowl me if the bed wasnt made right? so many ?s but no answers.

My condolence to the family. I did not know Norma but I too have lost loved ones in death. Thankfully the bible promises that one day soon, we can see our loved ones again. Please read John5:28,29 when you have a quiet moment.
