Norma Jean Bond, age 66, passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at Holy Rosary Extended Care in Miles City.

Norma was born on June 3, 1944, the daughter of Norben Emerson Waite and Evelyn Viola Kelly, in Miles City, Montana. She grew up and married George Bond, and to this marriage they had their pride and joy, Robin. They lived in Vancouver, Washington, and George later died. Norma came back to Miles City to be close with family and raise her daughter. She worked for Parkers Bar for 30 years. Norma later met her life partner and love of her life, Wayne Olson, who passed away two years ago.

Norma loved to do crosswords, word searches and spend time with her dog. She had an extraordinary love for dressing as a clown for the children and doing face painting at the fair and many other events. Norma also enjoyed sharing her talent of playing the piano and organ for the residents at the nursing home. She was an active member of Daughters of the Nile.

Norma is survived by her sister, Fern Bechtel of Littleton, Colorado; her nephews, John Stoltz of Eugene, Oregon, Jim Stoltz of Vancouver, Washington, Bob Bergerson of Billings, and Michael Pender of Lonetree, Colorado; and her nieces, Lisa Stoltz of Vancouver, Washington, Cindy Scott of Great Falls, and Jami Evans of Bend, Oregon.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter, her sisters, Barbara Stoltz, and Marjorie Lester.

If family and friends wish, memorials may be made to Shrines Crippled Children Fund.
