Orval Boyd Boyce, age 88, of Terry, MT passed away on May 8, 2008 at the Prairie County Hospital in Terry, MT.
Orval was born on Ipswitch, South Dakota to C.B. Boyd and Ethel May (Runadl) Boyce on December 18, 1919. The family moved to Terry, MT where he attended grade school and graduated from Prairie County High School in 1939. Orval worked for the highway department then attended Rocky Mountain College in Billings. He entered the United States Army in 1942 and served through World War II in the South Pacific with infantry. After his honorable discharge he returned to Terry where he worked for the Buffalo Rapid irrigation as a bookkeeper. He retired and has remained in Terry.
Orval was a member of the America Legion and the Jehovahs Witness Church in Miles City. He was active in the Senior Citizens Center and enjoyed traveling, especially to the West Coast, New York and Texas.
Orval is survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Franklin who passed away at the age of 6.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice. Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home of Terry has been entrusted with the arrangements.
