In Memory Of

Paige Stroop, 15, of Colstrip

July 4, 2001 – March 1, 2017

Paige Kathrine Stroop was granted her angel wings on March 1st, 2017, as the result of an unfortunate car accident.  Paige’s final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that she had touched in some small way throughout her short, yet very memorable life.

Paige was born in Billings, MT on the 4th of July, 2001.From that day forward, she was a little pumpkin and later grew into her dad’s little punk.  The day of her birthday was fitting in that she was a little firecracker with a contagious laugh.  At the same time, she had such a kind spirit and aspired to help others in any way she could.  She was a cheerleader on the court supporting Colstrip High and off the court she was a cheerleader of her family and friends.  She was an amazing big sister, daughter and friend.  She leaves us rich in memories.

Paige is survived by her father Baron Stroop (Shayla Luhman); her mother Azure Stroop (Brad Cowan); sisters Zoey, Aubrey and Tessa Stroop; step sister, Kaitlyn Wildman; step brothers, Keagan Wildman and Byron Cowan; paternal grandparents Dave and Judy Stroop; maternal grandparents James Park and Kristi Francetich; and numerous relatives and friends.

There will be a celebration of Paige’s life March 18th, 2017, at 10:30 am at the Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints in Colstrip, MT and on March 25th, 2017 at 11 am at the Belt Community Church in Belt, MT.  If you wish, donations may be made to an account in Paige’s name at the Belt Valley Bank in Belt, MT or at First Interstate Bank in Colstrip.

Our heartfelt condolences to Baron and the girls. At a time like this words just seem so inadequate, so let me just say that you are in our thoughts and prayers. May you find peace in your loving memories of your beautiful daughter. I had Paige as a student in middle school and always thought she was the nicest girl. She will be missed.

Deepest Condolences to Paige’s family. I was so heartbroken to hear the tragic accident. She was a good friend to my Tiff and their friends. It’s so heartbreaking and sad. My daughter just wept as I consoled her the other day, not thinking it was so bad. She shares the same birthday as my daughter too :'( I scrolled through my FB msg’s with her last year, she always so respectful and helpful. Such a Beautiful Babygirl. Our thoughts & prayers with the Stroop Family. RIP Paige, she’ll be greatly missed with her classmates and emptiness with them. Prayers to the family, again.

My condolences to the family: When one losses a loved one we ask “Will they live again?”, 1 Corinthians 15:26 shows that death is an enemy. Job 14:14-15 shows that God is eager to resurrect your loved one who is now sleeping in the grave. May this be of comfort to you.

The loss of Paige Stroop a precious young life at such a young age is one of the most devastating experience a family can face. At times, the loss may seem unbearable. Please know that there are people who care and more importantly Psalm 34:18 tells us that “God is near to those that are broken at heart. He is the God of all comfort. My prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time of grief.

Dear Stroop Family~I am so sorry for the loss of your beautiful Paige. I can’t imagine the pain you’re going through but please know that God is standing by you & all your family, friends, & community are holding you in prayer & love. I loved Paige, too, & as Whitney’s best friend, she seemed like my granddaughter, also. This just breaks my heart. I saw her during Christmas break & watched her cheerleading & told her she was giving me a heart attack every time she flew through the air! She was such a beautiful girl, inside & out. Please know that your sorrow is mine, too. Sending you much love & many prayers.

    March 11, 2017 at 8:03 am

I am so sorry for the loss of your daughter, sister, granddaughter, and friend. The are no words that can take away the pain you feel, but may the hope found in Gods word calm your grieving hearts. “With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” (Revelation 21:3,4) Death, suffering, and pain will be destroyed. These things will have passed away. Not only will God destroy death, he will also bring those who have died back to life, and they will have the prospect of living forever and never dying. (John 5:28,29) “No more will there be an infant from that place who lives but a few days, Nor an old man who fails to live out his days.” (Isaiah 65:20) Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss.
