Panzy “Pat” Schneidt, age 92, of Miles City, MT passed away peacefully on September 15, 2024 at the Cottonwood Care Home in Miles City.
Panzy was born on November 4, 1931 in Harlan, Kentucky to Woodson and Nettie (Hubbard) Smith. Pat grew up in the hills of Kentucky (she never liked Panzy that was too sissy she thought). Around her teenage years she moved with her sisters to Montana near the Locate area. This is where she spent her teenage years until she graduated from high school. A few years after high school she was blessed with her first-born son Jim Asher. Years later she met Carl Schneidt and eventually the two were married and to this union they had two children Lonnie and Randy. Together Carl and Pat started a repair shop which they ran for many years until they sold and bought the Gingham Lady and Star Motels and campgrounds. They continued to run them together until they retired.
Pat was a hard worker and always liked to stay busy, she did not believe in idle hands. One of her favorite things to do was to go to Las Vegas and play the keno machines.

I’m so sorry to see that Panzy passed away. I had hoped to visit her before it was too late. My mom, Wava, talked fondly of her and loved her very much – lots of old memories. My deepest sympathies go out to the family. Praying and thinking of you during this difficult time.
