Michael Patrick Pat Ellinghouse, age 44, of Miles City passed away at his home on Sunday, November 6, 2005 surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Pat was born in Seattle, Washington on September 16, 1961, the son of George and Jane (Goggins)Ellinghouse. When Pat was a toddler, he moved with his family to Billings where Pat attended schools and graduated from Billings Central High School. Pat married Laurie Duncan on December 12, 1980 at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Billings. Pat and Laurie were blessed with their first child, Carolyn in 1982. Pat worked at Turf-Aid Distributing as a salesman. In 1984, the family was blessed with their second child, Jennifer and then their third child, Michael in 1986. The family moved to Arizona in 1988 where Pat attended Yavapai College, earning an Associate of Arts Degree in gunsmithing. The family moved back to Billings in 1990 where Pat opened MECO Custom Firearms which he operated until they moved to Miles City in 1999. Pat then worked as the sales manager at Western Powders. Pat was blessed with his granddaughter, Mackenzie RoseBoschee in June of 2002.

Pat was a member of the Sacred Heart Church, Knights of Columbus, and the High Plains Car Club. Pat enjoyed watching his childrens school activities. He had a true love for restoring classic cars. Pat loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his beloved granddaughter, Mackenzie Rose. He also enjoyed spending time with Lauries grandparents, Bud and Helen Rose.

Pat is survived by his wife, Laurie of Miles City, MT; his children: CarolynEllinghouse of Bozeman, MT; Jennifer (Kevin)Boschee of Billings, MT; and MichaelEllinghouse of Billings, MT; his parents, George and Jane Ellinghouse of Billings, MT; a sister, Traci (Mike) Humphrey of Billings, MT; two brothers: Bing (Amber)Ellinghouse of Billings, MT; and Tim (Gina)Ellinghouse of Boise, ID; his mother and father-in-law, Bill and Jan Soelter of Billings, MT; a sister-in-law, Lyn (Rick) Caton of Dallas, TX; a special granddaughter, Mackenzie Rose Boschee of Billings, MT; and his nieces and nephews: Skott, Adam, Elissa, Kaile and Emma Ellinghouse.

A Vigil service will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2005 at 6:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Miles City. A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Billings. Interment will follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Billings.
