Patricia Ann Campbell, age 82 of Ismay, MT passed away peacefully at home, on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 with family by her side.
Pat was born on May 6, 1938 in Miles City, MT to Joseph and Marie (Peterson) Hafla. Pat grew up in a family with six siblings near Cohagen, MT. She attended grade school at Sacred Heart in Miles City, then in the local Cohagen Rural Schools. She enjoyed helping on the family farm during the summers and returned to Miles City’s Sacred Heart High School in the winters, working as a Hospital Aide. Pat went on to pursue her teaching certificate and taught as her mother did in the Country Schools. She married Kenneth Edward Campbell on May 23, 1959 and moved to the Campbell Ranch near Powder River raising three children, Cassandra, Carson and Carmen. They attended Church and enjoyed many bible study groups on the Powder River. Pat loved her community, her wonderful caregivers in Miles City, and the Holy Rosary Hospital staff, all of whom watched over her with great compassion and prayers. As she looked into eternity without fear, she taught us to be gracious, and to trust in her Lord Jesus Christ. The Family believes she would wish you all a Merry Christmas, and that she is having the most wonderful Christmas ever.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents Joe & Marie Hafla; an infant brother, Stephen; her husband Kenny; a son Carson; son-in-law Kary Schanz; a grandson Vaughn Schanz and infant granddaughter, Emily Erickson.
She is survived by her two daughters: Cassandra (Bill) Erickson and Carmen (Charlie) Cavill; brothers and sisters: Irene (Jim) Wells, Don (Marg) Hafla, Jane (Ray) Rath, Linda (Kenny) Rich and Tim (Sherry) Hafla; her grandchildren: Rosalie (Ty) Linger, Andrew (Colleen) Schanz, Libby (Logan) Bartholomew, Cody Cavill, Cara (Devin) Begger and Catie Cavill. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews and local family whom she loved very much.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 21, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Interment will follow in the Custer County Cemetery. Condolences for the family and a live stream of the funeral services will be available by visiting: www.stevensonandsons.com.
