Laney, age 77, of Miles City, peacefully left this earth and was reunited with her husband Dale on April 25th 2008. She passed away at her home, Parkview Caring, surrounded by her second family.
Pat was born March 1, 1931 in Merced California the daughter of Joe and Mary Enos. She spent her young life on the family ranch in Central California graduating from Livingston High School in Livingston, California. Pat attended college for some time, before taking a job as a dispatcher with the California Highway Patrol. It was there that she me and fell in love with Sergeant Dale Laney. The two were married on September 10, 1953 and had two sons, Russ and John. Following Dales retirement from the patrol, Pat, always the loving wife, left her huge family and moved to Miles City, Montana. Pat had several jobs in retail, working at Dallas Dress Shop, McDonalds Clothing, Goodyear Tires, and Anderson's before settling into a career in accounting at Pine Hills School.
Pat was preceded in death by her youngest brother Jody Enos, her parents Joe and Mary Enos and her husband Dale Laney. She is survived by her brother Bill (Patricia) Enos, a sister Helen (Joe) Amarant all of Merced California, her son Russ (Mary) Laney of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Their four sons Tom (Keri), Chris (Stacy), Rick (Jill) and Charles (Desarie) and one daughter, Jennifer (Curtis) Abraham. Her other son John (Candy) Laney of Miles City, MT. Their daughter Stephanie (Danny Sampson) of Miles City and son Brian of Billings, MT. Pat was also the proud great-grandmother of 16 great-grandchildren Jack, Kari, Shae, KC, Brandi, Riley, Chance, Shawn, Brianne, Andrew, Madelynn, Tyler, Cassie, Aubry, Keon, andSunny.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Relay for Life or to the charity of one's choice. Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home of Miles City has been entrusted with the arrangements.

passing through miles city today. i remember your mom and dad. my dad was gilbert tanji of cressey, ca. i remember your family well. had always wanted to see your mom and dad again and even wrote your mom a letter c/o miles city many years ago. never heard from her. long before internet was available.
we are almost to miles city. i see your mom and dad have passed on. will stop and ask after the laney family. maybe i can find tuss or john.
