Paul was born on December 4, 1929, in Dawson, North Dakota, the son of George and Jennie (Kiosse) Keniv.
Paul was raised in Steele, North Dakota, where he attended school. He came to Miles City in 1949, where he went to work for Farmers Union, Co-Op,then known as Ray Flex Seismograph. He worked as a mechanic at the Montana State Highway Department for 30 years before retiring, due to his health.
Paul married Ruby Green in May of 1955, and they were happily married for 55 years. He loved his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and was waiting and very excited for September when he would be blessed with two more great grandchildren. Paul loved to do puzzle books and loved animals and would feed stray cats everyday. He was always there with a helping hand. Paul loved to dance and take walks until his health prevented him to. He always made sure that his kids cars were running right. As a child he loved to trap and hunt. He also liked to watch Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy.
Paul is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ruby Keniv of Miles City, MT; his children and their families: his daughter, Carol (Walter) Nelson of Helena, MT, their son Justin and daughter Jennifer (her fiancChancey Andrews); his daughter, Sheila (Ed)Rickett of Miles City, MT and their daughter Michelle (her fianc Rick Williamson) her sons Aden and Blake; two more due in September; his son, Gary Keniv of Missoula, MT; a brother, George Keniv of Miles City, MT; his adopted family, Mike and Connie Bertagnolli and family of Billings, MT and his cat Precious. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother William Keniv.
