Paul moved to Montana and again tried his hand at ranching before returning again to Los Angeles. Shortly after his marriage to Paris he returned to Montana and stayed. He stayed for a while on the family ranch north of Ingomar; then he moved to Melstone prior to settling in Billings.Paul especially enjoyed his music. His mother was a music tutor and he had played in a band in his youth and enjoyed joining in with any impromptu group that was playing.
