Paula Gayle Roberts was born April 20, 1962 the daughter of Kenneth and Virginia Roberts.  Gayle spent her formative years at the family ranch on Mizpah Creek southeast of Miles City.

Gayle grew up surrounded by her siblings and cousins the Weischedel children.  Gayle enjoyed the outdoors, helping her dad ride, work cattle, and hay as well as 4H and rodeos.

Gayle graduated from Custer County High School in May of 1980.  Gayle married Curt Terrett on September 12, 1981.  Together they have two children, William Scott born February 23, 1986 and Cody Jay born December 30, 1989.

Gayle was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt.  Gayle was a fabulous cook.  She followed Willie and Cody to many school events including football and rodeo.  Gayle enjoyed painting, scrapbooking, card making, and taking pictures.   She loved to help outdoors with the riding and working cattle.  And she took great pride in her yard and flowers.   She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

On June 7th, 2008 William Scott married Danielle Tofte and together they have two children, Madelynn Noelle and Allison Gayle.  Gayle’s battle with her cancer lead her to make goals and one of them was to live to see Allison Gayle born.

In August of 2012 Gayle began nail technician school in Miles City.  She was excited to begin a new chapter in her life.  She enjoyed the schooling and she especially enjoyed the classmates as she loving referred to as the “girls”.

Gayle is survived by her husband Curtis, sons William Scott (Danielle), Cody Jay and granddaughters Madelynn and Allison.  Her parents Ken and Virginia and siblings, Kent (Mickey), Lacy, Zane, Reed, CL, Matthew, Jennifer (Justin) and Xaidyn, Schaefer, Sister Becky (Bill), Cole (Briana), Grant, and youngest brother Bruce (Jamie), Michael and Bentley.  Gayle is also survived by mother in law Ellen Terrett and brother in law Jay (Debbie), sister in law Nancy (Stan) and numerous nieces and nephews.  Also holding a very special place in Gayle’s heart is her dear friend Kathy Felton.

Gayle was preceded in death by both maternal and paternal grandparents, Clarence and Paula Compton, Lloyd and Marybeth Roberts, and nephew Trace Allen Roberts.

We are so so sorry for your loss. Though we only met your mom (Gayle ) the one time, it was obvious she was a warm, fun loving person. Trev always spoke of her wonderful cooking & fun personality. He truly enjoyed spending time out at your ranch during his time in college at Miles City.

  4. Toni Campbell Tivy says

    January 4, 2013 at 3:35 pm

I was so sad to hear of Gayle’s passing. We went to High School together and I remember her as a warm caring person with a smile and a kind word for everyone. Words seem inadequate to express the sadness we feel. Although no words can really help to ease the loss you bear, just know that you are very close in every thought and prayer.
May the love of those around you help you through the days ahead.

  5. Monte and Leila Massar says

    January 4, 2013 at 3:41 pm

So very sorry to hear that Gayle has left us. But we are also grateful and assured that she is no longer in pain and that she is at peace and rest in that Glorious Kingdom that knows no pain. We will never forget how much of an inspiration she was for Leila and I when Leila was going through her fight with cancer. Her visits and reassurance meant so very much to us. Our Prayers, Thoughts, and Condolences are with all her family. May God’s Comfort and Blessings be with you all.
