Paula Lynn Kuntz, age 65, of Circle passed away on April 5, 2017 at Billings Clinic with her family at her side.
Paula was born in Circle, Montana on July 24, 1951 to Alice Murphy Hamman and Rolland (Red) A. Hamman. Paula was baptized in the First Lutheran Church on November 4, 1951 and was involved with Church for the remainder of her life. Paula attended elementary and high school in Circle. She was an all-state cheerleader for the Circle Wildcats. She graduated high school in 1969 and then attended Eastern Montana College where she received a Bachelor’s degree in business education.
Paula returned to Circle Montana using her degree to teach high school until she took a job working for Gloria Larsen at the McCone County Courthouse. Paula later served as the Clerk and Recorder for 21 years. On December 22, 1973, Paula married Perry Kuntz of Circle. They had two boys, Trenton J. (Tj) Kuntz born in 1976 and Tyler Lynn Kuntz born in 1982.
In 1989, Paula’s husband Perry purchased the Travelers Inn Motel and formed a partnership with Arvid (Ole) Rolandson. Perry and Paula moved into the motel with their sons, and Paula managed the Travelers until her death.
Paula loved all sports. It did not matter if it was golf, hockey, basketball, or even the Westminster dog show! There wasn’t a sport she didn’t like or follow. But her love for the Circle Wildcats went far and beyond the love of any other team. She loved to watch her sons, granddaughters, niece and nephews and all the kids of the Circle community play sports! If Paula could not attend a sporting event, you could bet she would be listening to it on the radio keeping score and texting the scores to friends and family.
Paula was very active in her community. She was a member of the V.F.W Post Auxiliary for many years and served on the City Council. She enjoyed league bowling and loved to play Bunco. Paula is preceded in death by her parents Red and Alice Hamman, her husband Perry Kuntz and her grandparents. She is also proceeded in death by her mother and father in law John and Monica Kuntz. Paula is survived by her sons, Trenton and Tyler (Penny) and her three granddaughters, Serenity, Catalena and Caydence; her brothers and sisters-in law; Rodd Hamman and Robin Wolff and nephew Alex; Ryan and Colleen Hamman and niece and nephews Keyleigh, Jared, Trevor. She is also survived by her brothers-in law and sisters in law Len (Kathy) Kuntz (Pam, Lisa, Cindy); Ray (Linda) Kuntz (Wade, D’lon); Ruth (Rudy) Haynie (Kirk, Kyle, Kory); Harvey (Patsy) Kuntz (John, Travis, Jennifer, Amber); Bonnie (Bill) Gardner (Tonya, Chad); Sandy (Dale) Dean (April, Andy, Adam).
Paula was a very caring person. She faced life with an upbeat attitude. She helped so many people any way that she could. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother and grandmother and pet owner, she will be greatly missed.
“You are near, even if I don’t see you. You are with me, even if you are far away, you are in my heart, in my thoughts, in my life, Always. – Unknown

Paula loved to suggest to me plants I should buy. She always was Facebooking me recommendations. Unfortunately, I’m a sucker and I took her advice liberally! Some of them were pretty weird but they’re growing and I was anxious to share with her the progress they made. I will share on Facebook in her memory.
