Paulette Pinefire Wilson, He’ohnestoohe’e, Howling Woman, age 48, of Lame Deer started her journey across the Milky Way on July 28, 2020 surrounded by her family due to a long illness.
Paulette Wilson was born the daughter of Lawrence Wilson Sr. and D. Erlyce Littlewhirlwind on May 19, 1972 at Crow Agency, Montana.
She was raised in Muddy Cluster and attended local schools. She was a lifelong member of the Muddy Crenshaw. Most of her adult life was spent in Billings and surrounding areas. She met a lot of people during her lifetime that became like family to her, including her special friend, Arik Hamner, of Butte, Montana. She enjoyed spending time with her family, children, friends, especially her grandbabies. Her grandbabies were her pride and joy. She was named after her aunt Deloris, who also helped raise her when she was a little girl. She was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, where she was baptized.
Paulette was given the nickname “Bubbles” due to her very bubbly personality. She was a very unique individual who lived her life to the fullest. “Bubbles” was always a happy person who could lift your spirits just by being in her presence.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, John and Luella Wilson; paternal uncles, John Jr., Robert and Ivan Wilson; paternal aunts, Arlene Wilson and Rosalie Frye; maternal grandmother, Martha Walksalong Whitecrane; maternal aunts, Deloris and Clara Littlewhirlwind; maternal uncles, Joseph, Howard, Benedict Littlewhirlwind, Joseph Littlebird Jr. and Lee Lonebear, Vince Brady, who he was named after; siblings, Olympia and Mervin Little Coyote, Jeanette, Dan and Justin Hunts Along, Robert Lee Wilson.
She is survived by her parents, Lawrence Wilson Sr. and D. Erlyce Littlewhirlwind; Paternal aunts, Polly McDonald and Beverly Big Man, of Crow Agency, Montana; maternal uncles, Myron (Cheryl) Littlebird of Lander, Wyoming, Maurice Limberhand Sr, of Lame Deer, Montana; maternal aunts, Laura Lonebear of Lame Deer, Montana; her children, Vince (Sami) Wilson Sr., Johnny McDonald and Daniel Frye, adopted son, Rusty Woodenlegs; her grandchildren, Joshua, Peyton, Journey Wilson, Kambrie Joe Frye; brothers, Jeff (Rebecca) McDonald, Jordan (Caroline) LIttlewhirlwind, and Howard (Tami) Ontiveros, Lawrence Wilson Jr.; sisters, Mellissa (Marvin) Ontiveros, Edina (Brian) Red Star, Ethel Brady, Martha, Jolene, Littlewhirlwind, Darlene, Maureen, Maxine Limberhand, Cindy, Manulaita, Sheena Wilson ; cousins, Avery, Duke Sr., Anthony, Blane, Isaac, Joe Jr, Alvin Littlewhirlwind, Cletis, Larry and Eric Lockwood, Maurice Jr, Donovan, Enoch Limberhand, Rebecca Bigman, April Annamae Hunter, Sandra Wilson, Darren Charges Strong Sr., Teyon Old Crow, Casey He Crow. She had numerous nieces and nephews, too many to name. Her very special friend was Gabriel Hart. She also had numerous friends, but her besties were Mari Freemont, EllaJean Bulltail, Ada Morrison, Jennifer Sooktis, and Chanda Spottedelk.
Wake service will be held on Sunday, August 2, 2020 at 7 o’clock p.m,; funeral service on Monday, August 3, 2020 at 10 o’clock a.m.; meal will follow the funeral service. All services and the meal will take place at her residence in Muddy Cluster.
