Pat Fitch, age 85, of Jordan, MT passed away on December 28, 2003 at her home near Jordan.
Pat was born on October 11, 1918 in Douglas, WY, the daughter of Wheeler and Olga (Hendrickson) Eskew. She was raised and attended schools in Douglas. After graduation she attended Colorado Womens College and the University of Wyoming where she graduated with a degree in accounting and marketing.
Pat was married to Fred Fitch on July 29, 1941 in Broadus, MT. She joined the WACS and was stationed in Brownsville, TX, during WWII and attained the rank of First Lieutenant. After the war they ranched in Gillette, WY, and then moved to Grand Junction, CO, until 1950 when they moved to their present ranch in Garfield County.Pat enjoyed knitting, sewing, crocheting and gardening. She also enjoyed horses and was quiet a equestrian. Her greatest love was her family as she was a very devoted mother and grandmother. She was a member of the American Legion.
Pat is survived by her husband Fred, her children Susan Muri of Miles City; Monte and his wife Carla, James "Pete" and Kat, Sally Ness all of Jordan; and Robert and his wife Cindie; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son John Fitch, an infant sister Edna, her sister Mabel Fowler, her stepmother Mae Eskew, and two grandchildren Ashley and Justin Fitch.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 2, 2004 at 10:30am at the VFW Hall in Jordan, MT. Visitation will take place an hour before the service beginning at 9:30 at the VFW Hall. A luncheon will be held at the hall directly after the service. Graveside will follow the luncheon at Steves Fork Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.stevensonandsons.com. Should friends desire, a memorial may be sent to the Jordan Ambulance Fund or the charity on one's choice.
