Pauline Louise (Dinstel) Hill, age 70 of Broadus, Montana, passed away on January 12, 2004 at her home in Broadus of natural causes.
Pauline was born on June 13, 1933 at Ridge, Montana, the daughter of Josiah (Joe) and Freida (Stephen) Porter. She attended the first and second grades at the Malley Country School before the family moved to south of Espy where she finished her schooling. Pauline then worked on the family ranch and later received her teaching certificate, teaching at the Cathey School south of Hammond. She was married to Richard Dinstel in 1951. They lived on the family ranch at Ridge where they raised three sons. They ranched there for thirty years. In 1981, Pauline married George Hill, and the couple moved to Belle Fourche, South Dakota. George passed away in 2001, and Pauline moved into Broadus where she has lived ever sense.
Pauline enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, keeping up with the kid's sporting events, and visiting with friends. She was always very involved in the ranching business, and was very good with cattle, horses, and sheep.
Pauline is survived by her three sons; Del Dinstel and his wife Sharon of Colstrip, MT, Dan Dinstel and his wife Roxie of Fairbanks, AK, and Bruce Dinstel and his wife Lori of Ridge, MT, two sisters, Maxine King of Modesto, CA, and Wilma Hickey of Pecos, TX, nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a sister, Irene Isaacs, and three half brothers; Jimmy, John and Raymond Peters.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Broadus Senior Citizen's Center or the Henry 0 'Malley Memorial Library in Pauline's name.
