On Tuesday, August 11, 2020, Pearl Denson passed away at the age of 87 at her home in Sheridan, WY.
Pearl was born on May 27, 1933 in Kalispell, MT to Adolph and Marian and Opalka. She spent her childhood in Glacier National Park, where her father was a park ranger. She attended the University of Montana in Missoula where she met her future husband, Lex Denson, on a blind date. They married in 1953 and recently celebrated 66 years together. Following Lex’s service in the U.S. Air Force, they moved to the family ranch near Broadus, MT where they raised two daughters, Susan Jerke and Jill Terry.
Pearl claimed that she led a rather unremarkable life, however she was well known as a caring friend with a quick wit who enjoyed playing bridge and bunco, and volunteering many hours for local charities. She supported her family on the ranch, and enjoyed retirement in Marco Island, FL, Surprise, AZ, and Sheridan, WY.
Pearl was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Lex, daughters Susan (Gary) Jerke of Gillette, WY and Jill Terry of Thornton, CO, sister Alice (Bill) Fluegel of Anthem, AZ, grandchildren Jennifer (Nathan) Cox, Paul (Kathryn) Bowman, Jason (Ashley Landis) Thomas, and Jayme (Tom) Fox, and great-grandchildren Madelyn Cox, Liliana Cox, Landon Bowman and Gage Fox.
At Pearl’s request, no services are planned. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your favorite charity or local food bank.
