Pearl was born July 16, 1937 in Miles City to Fred and Martha Martelle Tyler. On April 23, 1954, she married Joe Kiel and moved to Volborg, where she was a stay at home mom while Joe worked on the ranch for Sal Cain. In 1979 she became the owner of Big Sky Dry Cleaners, and in 1990 became the owner of Playland Daycare until her retirement in 2010. Pearl took care of many, many kids in the area and dearly loved them all.
Pearl had a real love of fishing, camping, riding horses, driving around with her kids while hunting and looking at all the critters, just being outdoors, and spending as much time with her grandkids and great grandkids as she could.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joe, her parents, great grandson Joseph Patrick Kiel III, and her sister Nellie Shipman.
Pearl is survived by sons Dale Kiel, Tom (Robin) Kiel, Tim (Tracy) Kiel, Joe (Ginger) Kiel, daughter Debbie Kiel, brother Tom (Judy) Tyler, and sister Mildred (Kenny) Espinosa, 10 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren.
