PopPop was an amazing person and I’ll miss him greatly! I’ll never forget his face when I made him pancakes and accidently put baking soda in the recipe instead of baking powder. The first bite was a bit of a shocker but he didn’t say a word and ate every single bite so my feelings weren’t hurt. That’s the kind of man he was, always put everyone ahead of himself. He was mine and my brothers guardian angel and took very good care of us the first few years of our life so we didn’t end up in the foster system and for that, I’m eternally thankful. Rest in Peace PopPop and tell that beautiful wife of yours I miss her as well!

Pete was a kind and gentle soul. I enjoyed seeing him for coffee in the mornings when I worked at the Speedway. I also remember his generous gift of rhubarb to the cafe and me personally. Thoughts and prayers are with you all.
