In Memory Of

Ramona Kaul Freiboth, age 77 of Arvada, Colorado formerly of Terry.

June 14, 1940 – May 14, 2018

Ramona June Freiboth, age 77, of Arvada, Colorado, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 14, 2018, at the Lutheran Medical Center in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.

Ramona was born on June 14, 1940 to Fred and Caroline Kaul in Fallon, Montana, developing vivid childhood memories raising chickens, milking cows and delivering fresh milk and eggs to neighbors. Following her graduation from Terry High School, she married her high school sweetheart, Wray (Curley) Freiboth in 1958.  After working and living in Terry for a few years, they moved to Missoula, Montana, where she and Wray worked multiple jobs until Wray graduated from the University of Montana.  During that time, they welcomed their first child, daughter Celeste, and then moved to Colorado where Wray started his first job and they welcomed their second child, son Cameron.

Settling in Boulder, Colorado, Ramona set a disciplined example for her children. During her children’s early days, she was a stay at home mom which allowed her the luxury of being involved in all of her children’s activities.  As her children grew older, she started a job at the University of Colorado Federal Credit Union where she worked for several years.  She enjoyed family activities, usually including her sister (Cecilia) and Harold (Wolff) of Arvada, Colorado, treating everyone to her second to none potato salad, kuchen and caramel cinnamon rolls.  She carried the family traditions on to her grandchildren, Conner and Kierya, whom she adored.  Spending time almost daily with her grandchildren, she passed on her humor and wit to both of them, along with her love for animals.   Ramona loved to reminisce about the past, often telling stories about her early life in Fallon.

Ramona had a deep Christian faith which she demonstrated every day visiting and taking care of family, friends and neighbors were part of her usual routine. She cherished her friendships along all stages of her life.  She is survived by her husband Wray of nearly 60 years, her sister Cecelia Wolff (Harold), brother Floyd Kaul (Diann), children Celeste Gibbs (Frank), and Cameron Freiboth (Kristen), and two grandchildren, Conner, and Kierya.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Caroline Kaul, sister Elaine Pust, and brother Vernon Kaul.

A service will be held on Saturday June 2, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Community Presbyterian Church in Terry, Montana immediately followed by a Celebration of Life reception at the church. The family asks you to please dress Montana Casual.

Ramona will be greatly missed by her husband, children and spouses, grandchildren, siblings, extended family and friends.

So sad to learn of Ramona’s death. Fond memories include riding the Fallon bus as a youngster and Ramona keeping an eye on me, which I needed. Also many days at Fred and Carries enjoying the fellowship and that outstanding kuchen! Also remember when my parents traveled to AZ for a wedding and we stopped at Wray and Ramona’s and had a great visit and dinner. The world will miss ladies like Ramona. Blessings to her family.
