Randall C. Billing, age 67, of Jordan passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at the Garfield County Health Center after battling a long illness.
Randy was born on August 25, 1941 in Billings, Montana to Ross and Evelyn (Burghart) Billing. At age 2, they moved to the Big Dry where he lived until he graduated and went to the service. Randy served from November of 1960 to October 1963 in the Army. When he returned home, he married Gloria Liebelt. He worked for ranchers in the community and for Vaughn Newland doing dirt work and a little sheep shearing. In 1969, he bought the Mahoney Ranch where he farmed, ranched and did some mechanic work on the side. He also drove truck hauling hay for ranchers in the community along with his brother Don. He always tried to be a good neighbor and help those broke down on the road. He loved to visit and have a beer and a little jam session always made it better. In 1987, he married Pearl Wemmer. He continued to ranch until his illness took over and he retired in 1995. In 2001, he had to start dialysis at Poplar and took up most of his time. At this time we would like to acknowledge all the people who helped drive over the years or contributed to expenses. Also a special thanks to brother Dave, you went above and beyond we appreciated it greatly. We could not have done it without all of you. Thanks!
Randy was a member of the VFW, NFO Grain Association, NRA, Jaycees, and the Van Norman School Board. Randy enjoyed driving school bus for many years. He enjoyed music, and loved visiting with anyone that stopped by. He also enjoyed his animals including horses, dogs, cattle, pigs, and his black cats. He enjoyed working on cars and rebuilt a pickup from scratch.
