In Memory Of

Randy G. American Horse, age 44 of Lame Deer

November 20, 1978 – November 12, 2023

Randy American Horse – Ma’xe’pa’o (Bigback)

November 20, 1978 – November 12, 2023

Big Moss was named after his Paternal Grandfather, Donald Hollowbreast (Ma’xe’pa’o). He was better known as Bigg, Biggie, Big Moss and so many more nicknames, he passed away on November 12, 2023 with family by his side after a courageous, hard fought battle of esophageal cancer.  He was the son of the late Milene Eaglefeathers and the late Dornie Americanhorse.

Biggie grew up on the Northern Cheyenne Reservation and graduated from Northern Cheyenne High School as Valedictorian.  During his Senior year he was named Montana Class C All-Conference 6th man in football. Then he and his brothers and teammates made it to the Montana Class C State Basketball tournament in Butte, MT. Bigg Moss was an avid sports enthusiast. He was a walking encyclopedia of sports stats. His favorite professional teams were Duke Blue Devil, San Antonio Spurs and Buffalo Bills. And a proud member of the “Road Warriors” (iykyk)

Bigg lived life to the fullest. He worked hard and played hard. Weather he was sick or not he would make it to school or work. He was most proud of his sobriety, one of his best accomplishments in life besides Courage.

Bigg was called back home by Ma’heo to be with his parents, maternal grandparents – Milton and Mamie Eaglefeathers, paternal grandparents –Ward and Cyrilla Americanhorse. Aunts – Delpha, Marietha, and Twila Eaglefeathers, and Uncle – Melbert ‘Moke’ Eaglefeathers, Sheldon and Ward Americanhorse.  – Sisters-Denise Shoulderblade, Delpha Eaglefeathers, Special niece Tyla Kay Elkshoulder.

He is survived by his son – Courage Americanhorse. Adopted Mom Connie Blackwolf Sisters –Michelle, Tyra, Shandi Eaglefeathers, Tami Ontiveros, Lari Beartusk and Nia Blackwolf. Brothers –His Twin Little, Dornie, Duane, Dana, Shawn, Mychal, Moke Eaglefeathers, Cheyenne Hendrickson.  Aunts – Carma, Becky, Mildred and Rhoda.  Uncle – Daniel, Floyd Americanhorse and Eugene Fisher.  He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. And lastly, Courage’s mom Rozz (iykyk)  We apologize for who we left out and may have forgotten to mention, Biggie touched a lot of lives too numerous to mention.  Please accept our heartfelt apologies. We all would like to give a big shout out and special thank you to his care team at Billings Clinic. They treated Bigg like royalty and we are so very grateful.

I’m sorry for your loss. And I’m glad he finally got sober after hitting that bus load of children while drunk and never made any remorse or restitution to those families. Then the following year doing the same thing to me again showing no remorse and no restitution for his drunk actions.
